Advise library staff on what events would be fun for teens while earning volunteer time.
The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a way for teens to earn volunteer time by creating, planning, and volunteering at library events for their community. New members are always welcome! TAG members must be in 6th-12th grade to attend.
Examples of events planned and orchestrated by TAG in the past:
• After-hours lock-ins where teens play tag, capture the flag, or hide and seek
• Stuffed Animal Sleepovers, where children leave a toy and the teens stage photos and write letters to the kids about what adventures their animal had overnight
• Library murder mysteries
• A library haunted house
• A library Waffle Party for National Waffle Day
• A community water balloon fight in the park
• Jedi Training Obstacle Course for children to celebrate Star Wars Reads Day
• Meme Jeopardy
• ...and more!
